Y-Quit
Y-Quit is an interactive tool to reinforce smoking prevention or quitting, especially in our community’s youth population. This portable piece of equipment affords immediate and graphically dramatic results. Using a hygienic, disposable mouthpiece, participants are breath-tested using the CO analyzer. Within seconds, an easy-to-read computer graph shows the impact and harmful consequences to the body. Participants receive a printout showing levels of carbon monoxide in their lungs and blood. Complementing the analyzer, Burning Money is an interactive software program that calculates financial and physical implications of smoking, both now and in the future.

Lung Cancer Screening
Research shows that screening using a low-dose CT scan can help detect early lung cancer before clinical signs or symptoms become evident. Early stage cancer can be more easily treated and more frequently cured than later-stage cancers.  This screening is recommended for current or former smokers between the ages of 55 and 74. If you have other lung concerns or risk factors, speak with your physician about being screened. A physician order is required. Schedule your lung cancer screening by calling 712-252-0088.
