Bachelor’s degree in accounting required or equivalent work experience. CPA and/or MBA desired. At least five years experience in healthcare finance with progressive responsibilities strongly preferred. Must have an understanding of healthcare operations, the revenue cycle process and third-party reimbursement along with an understanding of system computer applications and personal computer systems and software. Occasional travel within the Siouxland region.
Executive Assistant will manage a variety of office activities and provide confidential administrative assistance and support to the Director and management team to assist them in carrying out their duties. The responsibilities of this position include administrative duties, accounting and finance duties and management of volunteers.
Five years of experience in a similar position strongly preferred along with an associate degree. Must have the ability to type 40 words per minutes. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Position requires a meticulous approach to detail. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with excellent customer service skills. Position is full time, Monday through Friday. Occasional required attendance at meetings after 5 PM. Must be professional and able to exercise independent judgement and decision-making.
Responsible for all aspects of the Cancer Center lab including specimen procurement, specimen testing, test resulting, Quality Control, instrument maintenance, proficiency testing, COLA inspections, and instrument calibration. Areas of testing included Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation. Adheres to the principles of Service Excellence and the philosophy and mission of the June E. Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science required along with ASCP Board Certification. One year phlebotomy experience required. Must have superior customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be detail oriented, have excellent documentation skills, and ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Knowledge of good laboratory practices, specimen integrity and stability, and federal and state requirements for laboratory operations is required.
PRN position available for phlebotomist who serves patients by identifying the best method for retrieving specimens and preparing specimens for laboratory testing.
One year phlebotomy experience is required; three years phlebotomy experience preferred. Must have knowledge of good laboratory practices.
PRN position available for certified MT to be responsible for general hematology, chemistry, urinalysis and coagulation studies. Must follow laboratory procedures and quality control policies for specimen handling and processing. Must have the ability to identify problems that may adversely affect test results. Must be skilled at phlebotomy draws. PC skills are necessary to work with LIS and EMR programs.
