Race For Hope 2015 set for Sept. 19
The 2015 Race for Hope is set for Sept. 19, at the Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve.
This annual event raises thousands of dollars for improvements and services at the Nylen Cancer Center. Approximately 1,000 participants make this one of the largest events of its type in Siouxland.
Registration is now open for walkers, runners and participants, and those who want to experience this fun family-oriented event to support to Cancer Center
Previous races have funded healthy snacks for patients, cancer center Chemotherapy chairs, wigs, scarves, and more.
The event calls on cancer survivors, families, caregivers and the community to walk or run for a cause.

There will be a Packet Pick-Up on Sept. 18 from 11 AM to 2 PM at Scheels in the Southern Hills Mall, 4480 Sergeant Rd #54.
Pick up your packet and shirt if you register by Sept. 3.
The schedule for race day will be as follows:
7:30 a.m. Registration Opens
8:15 Presentation of colors and singing of the national anthem
8:30 a.m. 15K Run
8:35 a.m. 1 K Kids Fun Run
8:45 a.m. Blessing and Dove Release Ceremony
9:00 a.m. 5K Run and Walk
9:30 a.m. Post-race Party Begins, Sponsor and Ambassador Recognition and Awards Ceremony
