Sioux City Noon Lions Help Purchase Dinamap Equipment

The June E. Nylen Cancer Center continues to explore how we can strengthen and expand our treatments and services for patients. We greatly appreciated the grant donation of $1,000 in memory of Helen Pontralo from the Sioux City Noon Lions Club that helped purchase an additional dinamap.

A dinamap is a reliable piece of equipment that tracks a patient’s blood pressure, temperature, and pulse oximetry on set time intervals. The dinamap prevents our nurses from disrupting the patient to get a manual blood pressure and vital sign check. Many times, a dinamap is placed on a patient that must be monitored closely due to a reaction or intricate dosing regimen and the dinamap will alarm with out-of-range values.

The impact of philanthropy is immeasurable to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center. Thank you again to the members of the Sioux City Noon Lions Club for investing in our organization, our mission, and in the patients we serve.
