Enhancing your quality of care

Providing you with the highest quality of care is our top priority. We are committed to enhancing your care from diagnosis and surgery to treatment and survivorship.

Internal Care coordination

Our medical oncologists and radiation oncologists along with our specialized staff meet weekly to hold internal care coordination and management discussions around concurrent chemotherapy and radiation treatment patients, as well as for all of our patients in the community hospitals. This collaborative process allows for thorough communication and focused planning around specific patients to ensure a successful method for optimizing cancer care plans, confirm continuity of care, and ultimately increasing the quality of care.

community Tumor Board Conferences

Patients undergoing cancer treatment are often treated by multiple physicians. Therefore, we also host interdisciplinary groups of local medical experts from the cancer center and surrounding medical clinics called tumor boards on a routine basis to more effectively coordinate care and make sure you receive the best care possible. Tumor boards include healthcare professionals from all specialties within our community including radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and patient advocates.

This team approach offers you many benefits including:

  • Enhanced communication among your doctors

  • Expertise of healthcare professionals from all specialties and backgrounds

  • Streamlined treatment process

  • Shared plan among various doctors for your treatment and recovery

The group coordinates care for patients with all types of cancer such as:

  • Bone

  • Brain

  • Breast

  • Colon

  • Head and neck

  • Kidney

  • Liver

  • Lung

  • Lymphoma
