Convenient access to your prescriptions
Our onsite medically integrated dispensary makes it easy to pick up your prescriptions before you leave our facility. This saves you time and an extra trip to an outside pharmacy for your medication.
Open from 8 am to 5 pm near the main entrance, our Medically Integrated Dispensary (MID) is available to all cancer center patients who have medications prescribed by doctors at the June E. Nylen Cancer Center. The service offers you many benefits such as:
Access to specific cancer medications sooner. In most cases, special chemotherapy medications will be available to you within one business day.
Assistance in finding help for high copayment medications.
Convenience. Often times, you will be able to pick up your medications before you leave our facility.
Time-savings. Eliminate the need for extra trips or calls to another pharmacy.

Frequently asked questions
What medications are available?
Our MID fills medications prescribed by doctors at the June E. Nylen Cancer Center. While we do not fill narcotic medications, we provide you convenient access to a variety of cancer medications.
Our Medically Integrated Dispensary fills medications such as:
Antibiotics
Creams
Nausea medicine
Oral chemotherapy
Steroids
Additional medications may also be available. Contact our pharmacy technician for questions about your medications.
Can you help with high copayment medications?
Some expensive chemotherapy medications have high copayments. Our pharmacy technician will work with you to determine your insurance coverage and then search for copay assistance programs to help you pay for your prescriptions.
If funding is not available for your medication, we will work with your doctor to see if another, less-expensive medication is available.
Does the Medically Integrated Dispensary accept unused medications?
We participate in the SafeNet Rx donation program. The organization provides Iowans in need with access to affordable medications.
As part of our participation, we accept unused medications for possible donation to the SafeNet Rx program. Contact our pharmacy technician for more information.
The MID at the June E. Nylen Cancer Center is named after a generous donation to our Hope and Healing Campaign given by Jeannine Woodall Berger Anderson in memory of her father, W.E. Woodall.
