9-Year Old Raises Over $1700 at Lemonade Stand to Support June E. Nylen Cancer Center

Nine year old Reagan Milton organized a Lemonade and Cookie Stand at numerous locations to raise money to support the June E. Nylen Cancer Center. Her goal was to raise $1000, but she exceeded that, raising $1700.“I saw other kids selling lemonade so I decided to do the same and give the money to the Cancer Center," said Reagan Milton, event organizer. “It was a fun thing to do and I plan on raising more money to help others."Proceeds from the Lemonade and Cookie Stand will support various programs at the Cancer Center. Programs include: patient and transportation assistance, research, community screenings and prevention programs.“The June E. Nylen Cancer Center appreciates what Reagan accomplished to help others," said Karen Van De Steeg, executive director. “Reagan is an excellent example of a young person who has a passion for something and then follows through with it; she is an inspiration to others."
