JENCC Nurse Practitioner Recognized for Specialty Knowledge and Advanced Practice in Oncology
Jackie Meis has earned her Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC), recognizing her specialty knowledge and advanced practice in oncology nursing. This is an optional certification requiring a high number of practice hours, self-study and continuing educational hours, as well as a vigorous written exam.
“Earning her AOCNP demonstrates Jackie’s commitment to our patients,” says Krista McCullough, Executive Director of the June E. Nylen Cancer Center. “Obtaining this certification deepens her professional development and knowledge across oncology and is a catalyst between purpose and profession in cancer care that cultivates a greater patient impact.”
Jackie is a native of Lenox, Iowa, and received her BSN and MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Allen College in Waterloo, Iowa. She has worked at the June E. Nylen Cancer Center since 2018.
