Mason Jensen Board Certified in PET
Mason Jensen Earns Board Certification in PET (Positron Emission Tomography)The PET technologist is a medical imaging technologist that has clinical experience in nuclear medicine and knowledge specific to the use of instrumentation, radiopharmaceuticals and adjunct medications related to PET.Requirements to take the PET Boards include:
- Active certification in nuclear medicine.
- 700 or more hours of clinical experience as a certified/registered nuclear medicine technologist on a dedicated PET scanner or PET/CT scanner.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 45 contact hours in coursework.
Mason received his degree from Southeast Technical Institute. He has been with the June E. Nylen Cancer Center for two years and with his board certification his new title is Mason Jensen, CNMT, NMTCB. “My goal is to continue to grow as a technologist and provide the best quality patient care,” said Mason, “our patients at JENCC deserve the best and we want them to know they will be getting knowledgeable technologists performing their scans.”
