Our Annual Report Released - Shares Highlights of Last Fiscal Year
Measuring our work is important because we are constantly striving to improve. Despite challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic, I am excited to share the resilience, adaptability, and many successes at the June E. Nylen Cancer Center this past fiscal year through our Annual Report.
While COVID-19 did have an impact to our organization, we continued to make capital investments and focus on making operational improvements. The pandemic did not and has not stopped us. We continued to care for patients, and we continued to look forward. In addition to all our state-of-the-art technology upgrades you can read about further in our Annual Report, we also made a significant investment into upgrading our IT infrastructure, phone system, security system, and purchased 3 new vehicles for our patient transportation program.
Investing in our people, retention, and recruitment is just as important as the infrastructure investments. We have continued to look to add top talent and skilled clinicians in order to provide more access and capability for patients. We invest in our staff and support them getting more specialized knowledge and experience. We maintain our commitment to look at ways to collaborate with other premier leaders in the industry.
I am very proud of the physicians and staff at the Cancer Center. They have always found their work to be purposeful, but with the additional procedures and pressures from COVID, their dedication to our patients is even more evident. This team is doing all they can for the safety and care of our patients. I deeply appreciate each and every one of them for their commitment.
We take our role very seriously, providing the highest quality and most affordable care under one roof. We know that every patient journey is unique. As we look forward to the next year, we will continue pursuing our mission and ensuring patients have the coordinated, compassionate, and comprehensive specialized care that maximizes outcomes and saves lives. Together, we can, and we will provide hope and healing right here in Siouxland! - Krista McCullough, Executive Director
