Gifts to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center truly make a difference in the programs and services offered to cancer patients.Did you know that you can designate your gift to a particular service or area of the Cancer Center? The key programs offered to patients that are not covered by insurance include patient assistance, research assistance and community screenings and prevention programs like SOS: Serving Our Sisters free mammogram program and Get Checked: colorectal screening.Unrestricted donations are directed to the greatest need of the Cancer Center, which may include some of the programs mentioned above as well as new equipment and technology.The Cancer Center also accepts non-cash donations such as real estate, stock, life insurance, collectibles and other assets. Check with your tax advisor for details and ideas on how you can support the Cancer Center now or in your estate plans.Are you thinking about making a Will or revising a current one? It is important for everyone to have a Will. Without one, the state will distribute your assets in ways you may not like.
