Successful Tie A Ribbon Event Helps to Remove Barriers to Cancer Treatment

Cancer treatment can affect your ability to work and sometimes the stress of how you will cover the cost of your treatment and other expenses during treatment is just as great as the actual diagnosis.

Thank you to Council Oak Supply and many other generous supporters for raising $12,425 at the Tie A Ribbon – Coffee and Cocktails for Cancer event on October 30. The proceeds will go to our Patient Assistance Program.

Our Patient Assistance Program provides support to qualifying patients to aid with non-medical expenses such as mortgage/rent, utilities, gas and transportation, groceries, and other daily living expenses. This allows them to free up funds for their out-of-pocket treatment expenses, thus relieving a little worry in order to focus on healing.

The support of this event will help break down barriers to treatment and give hope, strength, and encouragement to our Siouxland patients when they need it most.  Thank you to all involved and those who attended.
