Cherokee's Creekfest supports June E. Nylen Cancer Center

July 22, 2013For the second year, a percentage of the proceeds from Creek Fest music festival will support the June E. Nylen Cancer Center.The event begins at 6 p.m. Friday August 2 and runs through August 3. The Cancer Center will benefit from those who participate in the Saturday morning motorcycle ride.Country music singer Jake Owen will headline the music festival. Owen is known for his string of hit songs including singles "Barefoot Blue Jean Night," "Alone with You," and "The One That Got Away."“The Cancer Center appreciates the opportunity to partner with the Creek Fest music festival,” said Pat Hubbard, director of fund development.One hundred percent of the proceeds stay in Sioux City to benefit local cancer patients. Proceeds from this event will be directed to various areas at the cancer center such as helping cancer patients with financial assistance, utilities, housing, food, clothing, and other necessities.For more information, go online at creekfestcherokee.com.
