Colossal Colon display coming to Sioux City

You've never seen your body like this: Journey into the one-ton replica of the human colon. Discover all there is to know about the colon, including information about tissue, polyps, various states of colorectal cancer, Crohn's disease, diverticulitis and more in a 40-foot display.The June E. Nylen Cancer Center is partnering with Mercy Medical Center to bring the "Colossal Colon" to Siouxland.The goal of this display is to educate the community about colorectal cancer screening, early detection and prevention.This fun, family-friendly event is free and is being held at the Sioux City Convention Center. Reserved tours are scheduled for May 4, 5 and 6. The event opens to the public May 7-8.
