Dr. Wender Takes on Leadership Role as Medical Director

Dr. Donald Wender recently agreed to be Medical Director at the June E. Nylen Cancer Center (JENCC), an additional leadership role within the clinic. Even with these extra responsibilities, Dr. Wender will continue to provide patient care for his current patients as well as accept new patients. 

As Medical Director, Dr. Wender serves as a medical liaison and coordinates with referring physicians and other medical providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality health care at JENCC, assists in the planning and development of enhanced and additional services, and supports the professional and technical development of the Cancer Center’s staff through training and education. Additionally, the Medical Director monitors physician utilization and appropriateness of care in accordance with JENCC’s quality review and assessment programs and participates in performance improvement initiatives and other performance management and innovation initiatives.
